My new Sport

Hi everyone again,

Here is my part two of the last 2 months.

The end of November new sports were beginning since the football and volleyball seasons were over. I had some difficulty choosing what sport I wanted to do or actually could do. Let me explain that. I knew what sport I wanted to do BUT I was not able to do it because my insurance would not cover it. So the only way I could actually do that sport was if I would get another insurance on top of the one I already have. Me and my dad did some research and found out it would be very expensive, so I figured I was not able to wrestle. So I had to think about a other sport I might wanted to do. I had 3 chooses besides wrestling. I could do basketball but that was an fat no for me, or I could do cheerleading. But that was a fatter no for me because I wouldn’t fit in. The last chose was indoor Track and that was the best fit for me. But indoor track would start in January. Wrestling started the end of November so I thought I would manage wrestling until indoor track starts. In that time I was still trying to figure out a way for me to wrestle but didn’t really have any luck. In the mean time I was practicing wrestling but not doing any matches. (I’m sorry mom and dad) For anyone who doesn’t understand. I was not insured so if I would have gotten hurt, it would have been bad. But I couldn’t just sit still. Enna was with me all this time because she chose to do the same as me. Maybe like 3 weeks into wrestling we got really lucky, because there was an anonymus person who wanted to sponsor me and Enna. So that we could get an insurance and wrestle. The only thing I had to do was find and insurance that would work for wrestling and will insurance everything. It took me about 2 to 3 weeks to find one and then in January I found it and got my insurance. I got to wrestle the 6th and the 7th of January at a wrestling meet in Shoshoni and it was absolutely awesome. I have been wrestling for about more then a month now.I already got second in a tournament you can see the pictures of wrestle under wrestling pictures. I’m loving it and I’m so grateful for this opportunity.

Nov, dec and beginning of Jan

Hi everyone,

I have a lot to tell you!! I apologize for being quiet for so long. I will tell you about Christmas, my new sport, new experiences and school.

I’ll start with school. The last week of school in 2022, I had the choice to change my schedule a little bit. I choose to do that because I was not really happy with band I was playing the trompet. But it’s really hard to become better. if you do not know how to read notes and you do not really get one on one attention from the teacher. So I decided to change my schedule to get the schedule I wanted. I alsohad to change US government. So I changed US government on the second period to weights, so that I can become stronger for the new sport I’m doing what I will tell you about later. The first period band I changed to US history. What definitely is more interesting for me since I do not really like politics. The last day of school we wore some Christmas clothes to school so that’s what I did go see the Christmas pictures on my blog.

I’m now going to tell you about Christmas, New Years, new experiences and my 2 week vacation. About two and a half weeks before Christmas we went Christmas shopping in Idaho falls. That was a awesome but crazy experience! I’ll explain why. We were not the only one who were going Christmas shopping. All the stores were overflown with people and we had to wait a long time to pay and get out of the store. I’ve never seen something so crazy. We went from store, to store,to store to get everything we wanted to buy for everyone. Its cool how big of a thing Christmas is in America. I had a great time walking around with my, stillthen new host family. I got to meet my host moms (Tammie) parents. They are really nice and we will probably visit them later in 2023 sometime.

Start of the vacation. I had been sick close to the vacation and missed some school. I got better but I was still really exhausted and tired so the first few days of the vacation was just about getting some rest for me. When I had rested enough I started doing a lot of fun stuff like ice skating. I almost went every day before Christmas. Tammie made cookies and me and Enna decorated them. Me and some other friends of me went to help in the senior center to help provide the old people dinner. I think that was about it what I did before It was Christmas.Christmas Eve day I went to a friends house were we made gingerbread houses. Everyone had difficulties but I was having no problem at all. I was done the fastest and to be honest mine looked the best too. The actual eve of Christmas Eve we all put on the same Christmas pajamas and made a cute picture if front of the tree. We had a lot of stuff under the tree. Christmas Day morning we got to open our stocking. We had to wait for Nick my host parents son to come home from work to open the rest of the gifts. When he got home we got straight to it. And started opening our gifts. I got a suitcase since I already have to much stuff to take home. I definitely needed an extra suitcase to take most of my stuff home. I got a water bottle were you can put flavor in its pretty cool. I got a nice blanket some socks some underwear since mine started to get holes in it. All and all it was really nice. Tammie and John definitely spoiled me a little bit. The days after Christmas I went snowboarding with a friend. That was absolutely awesome since I have never snowboarded on a real mountain with trees and a ski lift. That was a very cool new experience. I sat in a sled behind the snowmobile that they have. We were going pretty fast and we’re hitting some jumps so that was really sick. New Years came up and we went to the opening from the library in big piney. It was like a New Years party/ opening from the library. But to be brutally honest it was pretty boring. But after the party I went to my friends house. The house of Haidi and her new host family and we celebrated New Years there. We had a great time. The next day the first of January. We started the year really good because we went snowshoeing, that was cool but a workout. You would think you walk on top of the snow but that’s not true you definitely still sink in and it’s really heavy to walk. But it was cool to have it done once. After that I suggested we should go to my house and put the sled behind the snowmobile again and go in the sled with the 4 of us (Me, Haidi, Enna and Kelsey). You probably think how is that supposed to fit I have no idea honestly but it worked. We definitely had to cuddle each other though but it was so cool and it was so nice to let them experience what I experienced. We were going over little bumps again and we were going fast. But then the rope broke but we fixed it and drove home. When we got home we played some Mario cart on the switch and then they all went home. We went snowboarding/ skiing maybe two days after. we had a great time that day too. For Enna and Haidi it was their first time skiing. It was funny to see them struggle but eventually they got the hang of it a little bit. This was about my whole two weeks filled up with new and cool experience I had an awesome time.I’m really happy with my new host family they definitely know how to keep me busy and happy.

I’m not even at the half of what I want to tell you and I already wrote so much.

Some changes

Hi Followers

To understand what I’m about to tell you you need a background story.

The Background story: There are 5 foreign exchange students in big piney. Me and Enna were living together at our host family. Haidi (from Italy) and Deniz (from turkey) were living together at their host-family. Faizel (from Indonesia) is living on his own with his host family.

After a while problems started to form in my family and in the family with Haidi and Deniz. Because Deniz got kicked out of her family, she went to live with a different family in big piney. So Haidi was living alone with the The family she was in from that point on. In my family the there were some problems starting to form. I’m not going into what was going on but it made Enna want to leave the family. And luckly for her it came to the point that she got to go to an other family. I was happy for her but it also made me very sad because she really became a sister to me. At the time Enna was having problems I myself was also having some problems but i kinda wanted to give it a chance to see if it would get better but after a while. It didn’t really get better it actually got kinda worse. I was just not happy were I was. So after a while I got changed out of their but that is were it al kinda got messed up. Because i got put in the family with haidi so the family were already someone left. Haidi got to be my host sister and that was awesome. But before the change happend. I already heard a lot from haidi, from talking with her in school. I knew she wasn’t happy in her family and she didn’t want to stay there. And she told me that a long time before I even got to changed to their family. She had her reasons that she wanted to leave their house at first I didn’t really understand it. But when i got to the point that i was living with them i understood them very well and i was not comfortable with them either. I have lived with the Losiks for 2 and a half months or so. I got changed to an other family on oct 21 I have lived with them from oct 21 till nov 20th and on november 20th me and Haidi both got changed out of there we are both in different familys. We have been in our new familys for 4 days now and we feel releaved we are so happy that we are in loving family’s. Family’sthat make us happy and we feel loved in.

Now Ican for curtain tell you that im in a good place and im going to be happy for the rest of the year with this family.

Also fun fact the family that Enna got changed to is related to the family that I am living with right know. And the family that Haidi got changed to is good friends with my family and Enna’s family so we are going to see a lot of each other even though we are not living together anymore. And I think that is just absolutely awesome.

So a lot has changed and to be honest it has been rough I have cried a lot I got the point were I was asking myself what I got myself into. But Luckily I have loving friends in school and I had Enna and Haidi (whom I would still refer to as my host-sisters even though they are Technically not). They all helped me get trough all off this and have been there for me when Ineeded them the most I really love my friends.

I’m in a good place and im happy I sticked trough all of it, because now eventually I am happy and know I am going to stay happy. Of couse there are going to be ups and dows but I think Ihave gotten trough the worst of it and its only going to get better.

And just so you guys know and don’t worry about me. I have NOT been abused of any kind I was just not happy I had my reasons for it. And I’m not saying that those family’s that I have lived with are bad family’s. They just didn’t match with me. I am still very thankful that they have hosted my for the time they have and for the stuff they did for me. Because its not nothing to take just some kid to all the places that my first host family has taken me.

I hope you understand a little better now why I have been of the radar for a while. I have been trough a lot but I’m happy now and I hope knowing that I’m in a good place makes you all happy and not worry about me to much.

Last 2 months events

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I wrote something. These couple months have been crazy with homecoming, football, trip to yellowstone, senior night, halloween and just school.

Homecoming: it was so fun everyday there was a different theme. Monday was Hawaii day, Tuesday was bring anything but a backpack day, Wednesday was celebrity day, Thursday was decade day and Friday was red and white day. For all the days I dressed up and it was really funny to see what the other people in the school dressed up like. There was a parade and after that we had a pep really ensemble and that was a lot of fun. When that all was over we had an football game unfortunately we lost that game but it was still a very fun day and we played very well even though we lost.

I went on a trip with my host family to yellowstone it was amazing the park is so beautiful and it was pretty cool because we went with the motorhome and that is literally just a house on wheels. We went for 2 days in the park I saw a lot it was so beautiful. All the wild life that walks around is very impressive to see. Fun fact we were walking around and then we saw one of the other exchange students who was there too with his family. It was such a coincidence that we were at the same place at the same time because Yellowstone is very big.

Football has been so much fun. The last couple games for me were the most fun because I actually got to play. I played at the Wyoming Indian game that was the first time i really got to play and do kick off it was such a rush. Then the JV team went to a chambree that means you have 10 plays to score touch down from the 20 yard line 10 plays to score one from the 10 yard line and 5 from the 5 yard line. And that al against the same team and then we played the same against another team it was though because we played like 50 plays in an hour or so. But I learned a lot and it was very cool I had a good tackle. Senior night was the game I liked the most it was a home game and we had all our supporters sitting on the bleachers. The varsity team played very good so the JV team also got to play and I was very happy because I got to kick off and everyone was cheering for me and that was very exiting. Next to it being senior night and a game that will determine if we go to play-off or not. It was our last home game so the last chance for me to play with all my friends being able to watch me play. We won the game!!! We are going to play-offs this all made it very special. Our play-off game we lost unfortunately so the football season is over that makes me really sad because I loved football but is has been a heck of a season with a lot of fun and amazing memories.

My first and probably last halloween with trick or treating. Was a lot of fun dressing up and going by the houses and get all the candy was just awesome. Its just so cool to see everyone dress up it was a very cool experience.

I am sorry that I have been of the rader for so long you will probably understand why. When you read the next blog that I’m going to post.

1 month America!!!

Hi People, 

It now has been 2 weeks at school and 1 month in America and I really enjoy going to school and being busy. Football practice is tough but a lot of fun I enjoy it a lot better, now I get to dress up fully. I being trained as an receiver, corner and linebacker. And I’m also a kicker I tend to be good at it so their training me in that to. 

I’m learning to play the trompet for band and I’m not bad at it so that’s cool. The rest of the classes are a bit boring. But the children in the classes are fun. I had my first football game and it was an overnighter, because it was in lusk and thats like an 8 hour drive from big piney. So we drove to lusk and had the game that we won btw. I did not l get to play but I learned a lot of watching. And after the game we drove 1 and a half hour to the hotel we’re we stayed. It was a fun trip I had the giggles a lot of times and the boys are very supportive. And the football manager that are just girls from school. They slept in the same room as me and they are so sweet. I’m very very happy that I choose to do football even though its a boys sport, it’s a blast. Im enjoying every bit of it even though I get hurt a lot. 

Fun story I asked the coaches last week on Monday to let one of the boys tackle me because our first game was last Friday and I was scared they would put me in the field and have never been tackled before. And I needed to get used to it before they put me in. So all the boys lined up to make a tunnel. The coaches let the smallest boy on the team tackle me. I thought thats good because it wouldn’t hurt as much. But what I didn’t realise was that the smallest boy on the team is also the fastest. So it didn’t really go as well as i aspected. It hurts a lot I got crushed completely. 

The weekends were also fun the first weekend after our 3 days of school we went motorcycle riding. It was such an amazing feeling sitting in the back an feeling the wind blowing in your face,  hearing the wind blowing trough your ears, smelling the nature and being able to see 360 degrees around you it’s amazing. We went to our fifth national park the Grand Teton national park. And that was beautiful.

First time in Big Piney/ First football practice

Hi veryone,

Monday:

I got to see big piney for the first time. We went to my physical test were we got to see if I was healthy enough to play sports at the high school. After that I was cleared healthy and Enna to. We got a small tour around big piney and Marbelton. These city are so close together that they our kinda one city. Big piney high school is also for the kids from Marbelton and the courthouse and the medical clinic are all shared. After our small tour we went to the school to get our schedule made. I got choir/band for first period and for second I got American government, third I choose art but maybe I get in a other class because they are not sure if the class is full or not. Fourth I have woods, fifth I have yearbook, sixth I have english IV and 7th period I have PE (physical education). After we got to get our schedule made we got a tour around the school and got to see the classrooms were we have all our subjects. Enna and I have almost the same schedule except that she has in third period anatomy & physics. So were going to see a lot of each other. After that we went home and ate something, hang out and then we had our first practice she had volleyball and I had football practice. I need to say that I didn’t really like it because I had to have 4 practices before I could dress up fully thats just a rule. But that ment I could not do a lot because I could not have physical contact yet. So I had to stand there and just watch and could only do the things without contact. But think it would be better after I get to dress up fully.

Monday till Sunday on Roadtrip

Hi Everyone,

Monday

We went to the Wedding of the niece of Kara. It was nice to meet the family but it was not as exciting as I expected. But it was good day. We saw white buffalo and apparently seeing a white buffalo gifs you luck so thats good. And i got to try Rootbeer that some kind of an American drink but it not for me do not really like it after that we headed to our RB&B.

Tuesday

We had a late start and with that i mean like 8 a clock for me that early but they said it was a late start for them. We went to Garden of the godsit was very beautiful and fun to walk around there.After that we went to do some school shopping like sport shoes for football and some paper for school.I got some nice white cleat’s and I cant wait for my first practice on Monday.

Wednesday

We drove almost the whole day and wnet to a book store Driving lunch steven and brianna

Thursday

We went to Rocky Mountain national park it was absolutely gorgeous.

Friday

Driving back home

Saterday

Rest day didn’t do much just chilling around the house and looking around because I didn’t really get to see the house when I arrived 2 weeks ago because we come home at like 12:00 at night and woke up at 2 am in the morning to start the Roadtrip.

Sunday

We went Boating on Fremont lake and went cliff jumping what was pretty awesome. After that we were going to make a fire and make burn hotdogs. And make s’mores. What was very good until it began to storm around the lake and had to jump back in the boat to bring us save. Crazy thing on our way back on the lake we saw lightning strike a tree just on the side of the lake it was pretty awesome but very scary to. The lightning started a fire so we had to call the fire department.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Roadtrip

Hi Everyone

Friday

We went to our second national park: Mesa Verde National Park it was very interesting to see how high people lived and how they lived and how their houses were build. Four corners and mesa verde after we had seen a lot of mesa verde we went and drove to four corners. What means i was in utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona all in once that was funny I laid down on the ground and had and arm limb’s in a different country. After that we went to our RB&B.

Saturday

We drove a lot this day but it was worth it because we went to our third national park (my favourite one yet) The Great Sand Dunes National Park. I got to sand board and that was absolutely amazing I always wanted to do that one day and now I got to do it. I face planted myself but it was totally worth it. I had sand everywhere and with everywhere I mean everywhere from ears to noose to my butt. But also that was worth it. After that we went to our new RB&B and I had a nice shower to get all the sand out of my body parts. And we ate hotdogs and went to bed.

Sunday

We ate breakfast together with Brianna ( the daughter of steve) and her boyfriend Zen, and Steven ( the son of steve). We all went together to pikes peak a mountain in Colorado Springs. We went up there but it was raining and storming very badly so i was a bit scared but when we got to the top and went out it luckily stopped raining and the sky cleared up pretty well. After that we all ate burgers at our RB&B together and then I went to bed.
